Vivo Italian Kitchen can be found on the lower level of Universal CityWalk Orlando and boasts an ultra-modern decor. Their open kitchen, known as an Expo Kitchen, allows customers to watch chefs stir sauces, roll fresh pasta sheets, hand pull mozzarella balls and bake pizza among other culinary tasks.
At this restaurant, appetizers include bacon-wrapped scallops, boom boom shrimp and stuffed clams casino; pasta dishes such as eggplant rollatini, gnocchi marinara and lasagna Bolognese; as well as classics such as Chicken Romano and Veal Parmigiana as well as lobster di mare, marsala ribeye steak and portabella risotto for entrees.
Vivo (Italian for "life") offers an assortment of salads and 12-inch pizzas designed for sharing, with an extensive wine list and cocktail selection featuring Italian inspired beverages.
Vivo was opened for business in late October, taking up residence where Chianti once stood since its closure in 2015. Operated by the Grisafi family - also responsible for popular eateries like Taste of Italy Bar & Grill in South Whitehall Township and Joey G's Italian Kitchen in Allentown - Paolo Grisafi will oversee Vivo with his father Nicolo and brother Franco.
